Hi!
My name is Reidar.

Being raised in the north, my parents took me hunting, fishing, gathering, and skiing at an early age. Spending most vacations on the island of Senja, the sea and boat life has a special place in my heart. 

 

With a track record from the University of Tromsø, the Norwegian army, and a short career as a carpenter - I have experience from different fields over the last 20 years. My last position in the tourist industry before Covid was with Hurtigruten Cruise line as an expedition leader along the Norwegian Coast. Here I had a broad repertoire of responsibilities ranging from safety to budgets and was especially fond of the hosting role conveying the beauty and history of the Norwegian coastline from Bergen to Kirkenes.

The Arctic Moments was founded in 2017 as an adventure company with a focus on the Scandinavian outdoor life traditions friluftsliv. Since then I have taken both individuals and groups of guests out on excursions lasting from a few hours to whole days/nights.
