After spending a year in the northern most city in the world I am proud show you some of the photos I did late nights in the dark season. Longyearbyen is actually a bit far north for the "common" northern lights strenght, but when it finally finds it way that far north it is spectacular. This picture is done a bit up the Longyear valley - the small house is actually a resturant right next to where the first miners used to live. With almost no light pollution Lonyearbyen is well worth a visit, just bring your thick jacket.
